St. George’s Market

St. George’s Market is located opposite the Waterfront Hall, close to the centre of Belfast city centre. There are multiple entrances to the market on Oxford Street, May Street and East Bridge Street.

Built around 1890, St. George’s Market is an integral part of the hustle and bustle of the city. The market has won many awards for its extensive range of fresh produce and for the atmosphere unique to St. George’s.

A variety market takes place at St. George’s every Friday. Shoppers can enjoy browsing around 200 market stalls selling fresh fruit and vegetables, antiques and seconds, books, crafts, clothing as well as food, coffee, cakes and buns.

The city food and craft market takes over St. George’s on a Saturday morning. With a wide range of local, international and speciality foods, shoppers can enjoy taste sessions, live music and craic! Shop ’til you drop or soak up the atmosphere with a hot drink and a delicious treat.

Crafts and antiques are the main attraction at the Sunday morning market. Local crafters showcase their talents with a fabulous display of arts, crafts and trinkets. Live music and local produce is also on offer on Sundays.
