What is Climate Craic?

Climate Craic was founded in 2021 as a result of an Active Citizens programme which was sponsored by Co-operation Ireland, a cross-border peacebuilding charity, and the British Council.

The primary objective of this organisation is to create positive, borderless engagement with climate action. With inclusivity at its core, Climate Craic’s core aims are facilitating creative approaches to climate action, socially diverse collaboration, and cross-border climate legislation.

Climate Craic will also be calling on political representatives to attend the United Nations Climate Change Conference (otherwise known as ’COP 26’) in November 2021, on behalf of Northern Ireland.

Northern Ireland’s first Climate Festival

This festival will have live music, eco-friendly workshops, guest speakers, and entertainment suitable for all ages. It will also be an opportunity for you to engage with scientists, activists, academics, and discuss your hopes, research, and concerns regarding the climate emergency.

We would be delighted to welcome anyone who is interested in getting involved in climate action to this festival.
