Ulster Orchestra at the Waterfront Hall, Belfast

The Ulster Orchestra are coming to the Waterfront Hall stage on 21 June 2021 to celebrate the return of music with a live audience for the first time March 2020.

The baton is raised and the Ulster Orchestra is once again ready to throw open the concert hall doors and play to a live audience! This very special test event features some of the music and guests that were real highlights of the Ulster Orchestra’s digital activity during the past year of lockdown.

For this performance, the Orchestra’s special guests are Ria Maguire and Sarah Richmond.

Ria Maguire is a singer-songwriter who took part in the Your Song Now project, making the shortlist of finalists who contributed to the ensuing album, Our Songs, Our Place. Her song, What About Today? was a huge hit and the video of her performance was one of the most watched when it was released.

Sarah Richmond, a Mezzo Soprano from Carrickfergus, gave a stunning performance of Respighi’s Il Tramonto (Sunset) as part of the Ulster Orchestra’s digital concert series and the Orchestra is delighted to perform once again with both singers.

Alongside these returning guests, the Orchestra will perform music by Mozart and Mendelssohn, works which were very special moments in the digital concert series which ran across April and May.

The Ulster Orchestra is ready to play and finally, it’s time to take your seats once more to enjoy live music!

Priority booking will commence on 10 June at 10am and end on 14 June at 11.59pm
