A Cool Workout

“Cool Workout” is a new online radio service running for the six-week period up to Marathon Day (Sunday 3 October).

Offering upbeat, high tempo hits, the pop-up station is an important first for Cool FM which has been a long-time supporter of Belfast City Marathon.

Participation in the 2021 event has reached an all-time high, with all 5500 places on the full 26-mile course fully allocated and limited spaces left on the Team Relay, 8 Mile Walk and Fun Run events.

Designed to be a motivating force for those on the six-week countdown to their marathon goal, Cool Workout is available online, via the Cool FM app, or through smart speakers.

Highlighting the final entry deadline of 27th August, Claire O’Neill, Events Manager for Deep River Rock Belfast City Marathon said:  “The Cool Workout app is an exciting development and, as it is totally bespoke to our event, it will be a great motivational force for all our participants, volunteers and supporters as they countdown to race day on Sunday 3 October.”

David Tighe, Managing Director of Bauer Media/Cool FM added: “Our pop-up station brings a new dimension to our partnership with Belfast City Marathon, offering the soundtrack to a healthy training regime. We’re delighted to provide easy access to the music and tips which will help the people of Northern Ireland keep fit, active and motivated on the final stage of their marathon journey.”
