The extended partnership will see Ulster Carpets continue as the named sponsor of youth rugby competitions in Ulster. Club games at U14, U16 and U18 levels will take place throughout the province all-season-long before culminating in the Youth Cup finals day at Kingspan Stadium in May.

Nick Coburn, Ulster Carpets Group Managing Director and Deputy Chairman, said:

“We are delighted to extend our successful partnership with Ulster Youth Rugby.

“Both Ulster Carpets and Ulster Rugby believe in investing and developing the talents of our youth. Through sport, young people learn essential skills and the importance of being part of a successful team – attributes that we value highly. This partnership reflects Ulster Carpets’ well-established tradition of striving to help the local community and it will encourage more young people to participate in sport.”

Commenting on the renewal of the partnership, Chris Webster, Head of Rugby Development at Ulster Rugby, said:

“Our core objective as a governing body is to grow rugby across Ulster, and this requires an environment in which youth rugby can thrive and flourish. We are pleased that Ulster Carpets has committed its support once again and, in partnership with them, we will continue to ensure that we are providing opportunities for all.

“The pathway provided by provincial youth rugby into our professional set-up is highlighted by players such as Ben Moxham, who helped us to launch the partnership today, and we look forward to continuing to inspire the next generation of Ulster players with support from Ulster Carpets.”
