Belfast Castle

Belfast Castle is located on the slopes of Cave Hill Country Park in North Belfast. It was built in the 1960s and is one of Belfast’s most famous landmarks. Belfast Castle has spectacular views over Belfast and Belfast Lough.

Belfast Castle is a great day out with lots of walking trails landscaped gardens and great views over the City of Belfast.

Belfast castle also has a fantastic restaurant with flexible menus for the whole family. Have lunch in the Cellar restaurant or coffee in the Tavern. The catering is provided by French Village, which is a local family-owned Belfast catering company.

The Cave Hill Visitor Centre is located in the basement of Belfast Castle.

Opening times:

  • Tuesday to Sunday: 9am – 10pm
  • Sunday: 9am – 5.30pm
  • Monday: 9am to 5.30pm
