George Best’s House

Walk in the footsteps and live a day in the life of the legend, George Best.

George Best’s childhood home has been reinvented as an NITB approved holiday rental accommodation. The 3-bedroom terraced house located at 16 Burren Way, in the heart of east Belfast was home to the Northern Ireland and Manchester United legend in the 1950s.

The house was purchased by local regeneration charity, the Eastside Partnership following the death of George’s father in 2008. George’s father, Dickie Best lived in the house until this death.

Guests to the house will enjoy a retro look into the life of a young George before he left the house to follow his dreams in Manchester. The walls of the house are adorned with family portraits, letters and iconic photographs that chart an incredible football career.

A free guided audio tour is available for all guests.
