Ronnies café on the Belmont Road is a terrific little coffee shop with one of the warmest welcomes in East Belfast, as well as a great menu with lots of familiar favourites. From a toasted cheesy tuna melt to perfectly poached eggs on avocado & feta topped sourdough, the daytime menu has something to suit all tastes.
But if you’re in the mood for a sensational savoury snack, the warm, freshly baked cheese scone with chive butter & Ballymaloe relish is hard to beat.
Breakfast Room At Blank, Malone Road, Belfast
The wonderful Blank restaurant on Malone Road is now open for breakfast. As you would expect, it’s quite simply in another league. From the tasteful decor to the professional service, the superior menu to the excellence of the food, this is a breakfast experience unlike any other in Belfast.
The vegetarian fry has top quality veggie sausages, enormous field mushrooms, beans, potato & soda bread, ripe tomatoes, & free-range eggs. The scrambled eggs are luxuriously creamy & make a beautiful topping for smoked salmon on sourdough, & the Eggs Royale are perched on toasted muffins with salmon and lashings of silky hollandaise. All served in a beautifully appointed dining room, this is a breakfast not to be missed.

The Butter Nutter, an amazing selection of nut & seed butter made in Northern Ireland are “insanely good for you, the planet, and your tastebuds”!
Spread on toast, mixed into porridge, use as a baking ingredient, or even eat by the spoonful,(yes, we went there!!). These jars of tasty goodness are deliciously versatile. We loved the Creamy Cashew & Cacao Nut Butter, which tasted slightly Christmassy due to the subtle cinnamon hit, and the Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt Almond Nut Butter is a sophisticated spread for chocoholics everywhere.
