Tasty Nosh
Tasty Nosh by Little Bites has just opened a great new takeaway deli & treat bar on Church Lane. From Breakfast Baps to Soups & Bagels, from Toastie Melts to Salads & Sandwiches, Tasty Nosh has something for everyone. We had the Tasty Goat & Glazed Caprice Ciabatta Melts which were toasted to perfection, and there are lots of homemade sweet treats available too; the Coconut Jam Sponge took us right back to our childhood, & the Reece’s Peanut Butter Cup Brownies were sinfully indulgent, perfectly baked with a moist, fudgy centre. Outside catering is also available, including Sandwich & Breakfast Platters, & Cheese Boxes.
Haptik
Haptik on the Upper Newtownards Road is the perfect spot for brunch. We would recommend the Avocado Smash with crumbed feta, capers, tomato, & a poached egg served on Bara Bakehouse sourdough, or the Savoury Waffle with avocado, halloumi, spinach, & a poached egg served on a sweet waffle with black sesame & sriracha mayo. And the Veggie Huevos Rancheros is a hearty Mexican breakfast with crispy tortillas topped with homemade beans, avocado, salsa, sour cream, & a fried egg. A brilliant little place with excellent food, quality coffee, & friendly service.
The Lush Larder
From “Plot to Pot” is Tracey Toner’s mantra; she loves to work within season, offering fresh & nutritious produce & enabling her to create delicious, new flavour choices in “The Lush Larder”, her artisan, range of small batch Jams & Chutneys. Using homegrown & locally sourced fruits & vegetables & traditional preserving methods, her Jams & Chutneys taste absolutely delicious, & being from County Armagh, also known as “The Orchard County”, the local EU PGI Status Bramley Apple is an essential ingredient in many of her products. The Bramley & Walnut Chutney is sensational on a cheeseboard, and we have also used two of her products, The Rhubarb & Rum, & Gooseberry Gin Jams to create a couple of fabulously fruity cocktails!
